House Tour

In absolute, total awe of these rooms found over in this house here. Loving everything about them. Shows how well you can decorate a white room using unique furniture, rugs and art work.

Madly trying to get things sorted in this last week of Christmas. Have done all of my shopping online this year and I am loving it! So convenient and I have not stepped foot into one shop. Sorry retailers but town and me just do not mix at the moment.

Nga Waiata

Last month I graduated from a 4 year primary teaching degree. It feels like it has taken me forever! During this time I got married, had 2 babies, started a business with my husband and kept Milo and Mitzy running so its fair to say I deserved a wee treat!

Hot hot hot on my wish list was a Nga Waiata ring and it has been on my wish list for a long time. Ngas jewellery is made from sustainably mined brazillian crystals and recycled native New Zealand black maire hardwood.

Nga Wai has worked for many years in the fashion industry and has been heavily involved with fine arts, her work reflecting both of these. Each piece is hand made and takes on its on uniqueness while being created.

Check here for a list of stockists and perhaps leave this page open for hubby/boyfriend/partner to see!

This house, those rugs!

via
What I like here in this home is the neutral colours, the linen fabric used through out, the wish bone chairs, the white washed floor boards, those kitchen subway tiles and most of all the kilim rugs stitched together to make a real statement in the living room. TOTALLY obsessed with anything kilim right now! Top of my wish list!

Check out the amazing Kilims that Pip and Lisa from Siggada Kilims have an offer. I am in awe.

Happy week to you.

Sara Landstedt

The blog posts from Milo and Mitzy are few and far between and the words are fairly sparse, but do bear with me. All will be back to normal in the blogging world soon. For now I am busy taking the time to love my new wee family. I should really emphasize the word BUSY in the previous statement. But let me tell you, as busy as we are, we are over the moon and enjoying every minute of it all, even if we are walking around like zombies from a lack of sleep.

Above is the ridiculously awesome work created by photographer Sara Landstdt which you may have spotted before but I couldn't resist sharing with you all again. Check out more of her work here. Have a swell week and do keep popping by Milo and Mitzy when you get a moment as I will be posting as often as I can.

Summer Wish List

Everybody seems to be making up summer wishlists at the moment so I thought I would be a sheep and jump on board also. How original of me right? Ahhh well!

First up I am loving all that Aura Home produce especially this Moss Stitch Throw in bright yellow. MUST BUY NOW, these Espadrilles shoes by American company Soludos. Every body needs a blue and white striped towel from Every Day Needs. This Chopping Board Hades Round from Father Rabbit is a must for summer BBQs. You can still drink tea in summer right? This dinky little tea pot hails from Every Day Needs. And lastly these Sol Sana Sandals complete any outfit.
This Zanzibar towel from Ottoloom is a must at the beach. Been looking for  a bath rack like this. Father Rabbit is where it is at. Coolest Sling Bag from Country Road to hit the beach with. Would love to deck my house out in these Bamboo Plant lights. Who said doing the dishes cant be stylish? Massive fan of these LeeAnn Yare bowls from Collected. LET LIV has all of the answers with these rad dish brushes.

And there you have it. Just a few of the things that are popping up on my summer wish list.

Introducing Shooting Sparrow

Check out new street wear inspired home brand Shooting Sparrow. Creator and director Ben Dundas's love for both of these elements meant that he was unable to separate the two, hence Shooting Sparrow was born. Coming from a buying background in the street wear industry has given Ben the leading edge when it comes to following this path of mixing street with home. Bloody clever if you ask me.

Think cool ceramics and prints, quirky pillows that play on words, NZ made caps for both guys and gals that will rock any outfit and the most amazing collection of scented candles. Head over here to shop now.

The Family Design Store

Gisborne owned company The Family Design Store, who I recently introduced you to here, have been hard at work moving their store to a new space, and although just around the corner from their old store, to me, this move has been totally worth it.

This ridiculously cool and calm space houses brands such as Fog Linen, Zekiah Heath and WILLOWSONG Baby. Check out their website and blog or do stop by and see the space for yourself if you are road tripping Gizzy way this summer. I certainly plan to!

While you are at it, head over to their Facebook Page to enter the competition they have running at present.

Black and white retreat

I am back after a long couple of weeks of being over due with baby number two but at last he arrived and it was all worth the wait. We had a little boy a couple of days ago by the name of Patch, (short for Patrick) and we couldn't be happier. Slowly settling into things so bear with me if I don't post as regularly.

I came across this wee get away  on Design Sponge and boy is it right up my alley! I mean can you imaging "getting away" to this place, reading books until your heart is content in that bedroom! What a treat!

Simple cosy living at its best is how I would describe this place. That black, white and neutral pallet gets me every time. And the art work! Isn't it amazing the difference small details make?

Happy day to you all.

Annabell Kutucu

I have always adored Annabell Kutucu hence the reason I am head over heels for this newly transformed apartment in Vienna...
