PAMPA

We explore art. We preserve heritage. We empower culture. As stated by Victoria Aguirre and Carlyon Wilson, the incredibly inspiring team that is PAMPA.

PAMPA was launched last year in Australia by Victoria and Carl who are passionate about rescuing our heritage and saving our identity. PAMPA rugs are unique woven artworks handcrafted within the native communities of South America.

Using techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation, each rug tells a story. Each rug is a piece of art. Each rug discovers new ways of being, new ways of living and new ways of discovering the world.

What attracts me to PAMPA is the story behind it. The passion that Victoria and Carl have. The way that they seem to embrace life and the way that PAMPA is a lifestyle not just a product, using photography and travels as a source of inspiration. Simply taking a tour through the PAMPA website leaves me in awe. Be sure to check it yourself. Seriously incredible. I do hope that one day I am lucky enough to own a PAMPA hand woven rug.

House Tour with a marble twist

Sweden does style so well. That minimal Scandinavian flavour works in so many ways. Take this wee apartment found on Fantastic Frank for example. Just oozes style doesn't it? I am sold.

Check this amazing charcoal linen couch below. So in the market for one of these.... sigh, one day she says! And how good is the white smeg fridge? Damn you stylish people and your stylish homes!

I used to be someone who liked to display all of my bits and bobs. I've found myself paring back since having kids. Don't get me wrong, I do love fun trinkets, but when life is so busy it is nice to come home to a calm relaxed space sometimes.

Marble fits in perfectly amongst the pared back minimal look. These gorgeous marble basics from MintSix are very high up on my wish list. Practical and functional yet oh so stylish and not mention completely on trend. Give me cheese and quince paste on one of these trivets any day!

Happy days.

Home Beautiful

Home Beautiful Magazine, Australia - One of my all time favorites! Yes so good. Light, fresh and fun. And kitchens they do particularly well.

Seriously how good are these kitchens? I love the open plan living. I am loving how bright and fresh the rooms are and how good are the kitchen islands and those lights? Home Beautiful you nail it every time.

Speaking of kitchens, holy heck have you paid a visit to your nearest Kmart lately? I spoke a while ago of wanting new bars stools that don't cost the earth, I think that I have found them! That's if they don't sell out before I get there.

Friday tomorrow. Happy end of the week to you all.

French Country Collections

Nice to be back on here, catching up on some blog reading and seeing whats new in the online world. We have been away for a few days on a family holiday which although is not relaxing like they used to be, up at 5am thanks to our wee Patch, we did have a fantastic time. But gosh home is good isn't it?

You all know that I am a massive French Country Collections fan, previously posting about them here. Well they just keep getting better and better! Arriving home to find a beautiful parcel from the amazing French Country team was such a treat and being able to have a peek at their new collection was even better as there are so many things that make my wish list.
French Country Collections 2015 summer range is centred around lightness and brightness with the intention of bringing a fun, playful vibe into your home. The range is made up of four lines based on key international trends - Eden, Core, Impulse and Memory with Eden and Core being my favorites.

Hitting stores this month their is seriously so much that I am after. Check here to browse the goodness and here for a full list of stockists near you.

Home Tour

I have always been particularly fond of industrial/vintage pieces used throughout homes. I like the character and interest that they add. Many of these items tend to tell a story which I like.

This Australian home above, as seen on The Deisgn Files, achieves this look particularly well. Adding playful and eclectic art pieces as these homeowners have done here, give the home a relaxed and fun vibe.

Completely head over heels for that polished concrete floor and give me those black kitchen cabinets any day, seriously.

Head to shops such as So Vintage, The Vitrine and Flotsam and Jetsam when hunting for individual eclectic pieces to add to your home.

Henry and Co Home

I have always been a fan of New Zealands Henry and Co Home. Designer Vanessa Quin is moving things along in the right direction and the business is growing hugely and going from strength to strength.

Working in conjunction with the trends of today but putting a Henry and Co spin on things, Vanessas new range I predict is going to be a massive hit.

I am already working out how to fit a piece from the collection in both Patch and Frankies room. That's the beauty of this range, it is so versatile and works well in both girls and boys rooms.

Pop over to Henry and Co Home to check out more of Vanessas amazing work.

Trend Post - black and white tiles

So you all know that I love black and white. That is fairly obvious. I am also a massive massive fan of patterns and in particular mixing and clashing patterns. I would just relish the opportunity to design our own home one day. If that opportunity should ever arrive, patterned black and white tiles would be very high up on my list of must haves.

Whether it be a kitchen splash back, bathroom flooring or even in the office to add interest to your work space, black and white tiles look smart and stylish. What is even better is that you can mix and match your décor from there.

I love this last look found on Simply Grove of a patterned flooring teamed up with subway tile walls and the gold fittings finish the look off perfectly.

Let me know if you know of any great places here in NZ to buy similar tiles to the ones shown above and I will continue to research this also.

WIN with the launch of Beau Monde Babe

I am thrilled to announce to you the launch of an exciting new online boutique store, Beau Monde Babe. A store dedicated to stylish threads and home wares for those special little ones in your lives. Read on to be into win.

Owned by blogger Emma Highfield, Beau Monde Babe stocks top brands nationally and internationally such as Mini Rodini, Beau Loves, Peppin, Noe & Zoe, Pop Factory Shop, g.nancy and Nununu.

Emma has put together a carefully curated selection of quality threads with an emphasis on unisex design and organic fabrics. This for me is a huge factor when buying gears for Frankie and Patch. Buying quality means that they last, and therefore buying unisex quality means that I can hand Frankies gears down to Patch when she has grown out of them.

To Celebrate the launch of Beau Monde Babe, Emma is Kindly giving one luck Milo and Mitzy reader the chance to win a set of tiangle wall decals. Head over to the Milo and Mitzy Facebook page to find out how to win. And pop over to Beau Monde Mama to get the latest for your little ones. Soo hard to resist, Im telling ya!
