Summer Wish List

Everybody seems to be making up summer wishlists at the moment so I thought I would be a sheep and jump on board also. How original of me right? Ahhh well!

First up I am loving all that Aura Home produce especially this Moss Stitch Throw in bright yellow. MUST BUY NOW, these Espadrilles shoes by American company Soludos. Every body needs a blue and white striped towel from Every Day Needs. This Chopping Board Hades Round from Father Rabbit is a must for summer BBQs. You can still drink tea in summer right? This dinky little tea pot hails from Every Day Needs. And lastly these Sol Sana Sandals complete any outfit.
This Zanzibar towel from Ottoloom is a must at the beach. Been looking for  a bath rack like this. Father Rabbit is where it is at. Coolest Sling Bag from Country Road to hit the beach with. Would love to deck my house out in these Bamboo Plant lights. Who said doing the dishes cant be stylish? Massive fan of these LeeAnn Yare bowls from Collected. LET LIV has all of the answers with these rad dish brushes.

And there you have it. Just a few of the things that are popping up on my summer wish list.

Introducing Shooting Sparrow

Check out new street wear inspired home brand Shooting Sparrow. Creator and director Ben Dundas's love for both of these elements meant that he was unable to separate the two, hence Shooting Sparrow was born. Coming from a buying background in the street wear industry has given Ben the leading edge when it comes to following this path of mixing street with home. Bloody clever if you ask me.

Think cool ceramics and prints, quirky pillows that play on words, NZ made caps for both guys and gals that will rock any outfit and the most amazing collection of scented candles. Head over here to shop now.

The Family Design Store

Gisborne owned company The Family Design Store, who I recently introduced you to here, have been hard at work moving their store to a new space, and although just around the corner from their old store, to me, this move has been totally worth it.

This ridiculously cool and calm space houses brands such as Fog Linen, Zekiah Heath and WILLOWSONG Baby. Check out their website and blog or do stop by and see the space for yourself if you are road tripping Gizzy way this summer. I certainly plan to!

While you are at it, head over to their Facebook Page to enter the competition they have running at present.

Black and white retreat

I am back after a long couple of weeks of being over due with baby number two but at last he arrived and it was all worth the wait. We had a little boy a couple of days ago by the name of Patch, (short for Patrick) and we couldn't be happier. Slowly settling into things so bear with me if I don't post as regularly.

I came across this wee get away  on Design Sponge and boy is it right up my alley! I mean can you imaging "getting away" to this place, reading books until your heart is content in that bedroom! What a treat!

Simple cosy living at its best is how I would describe this place. That black, white and neutral pallet gets me every time. And the art work! Isn't it amazing the difference small details make?

Happy day to you all.

George and Willy

Okay, so usually I am searching the net just drooling (hate that word) over gorgeous interior images, dreaming about my future home. At the moment, I am searching the net for a bit of purpose. Having just graduated hubby is on the look out for a couple of prezzies for me. (I am telling him/showing him what I like) Most of what I am showing him is purely selfish, think jewellery, a massage etc, but here is one product that I spotted whilst checking out Studio Home the other day. (A must see if you haven't already)

Julia from Studio Home introduced me to these awesome Wall Mounted Paper Rolls from George and Willy and boy do I love. There is a spot on my kitchen wall calling their name. How cool don't you think?

And while we are on the subject of George and Willy, how swell are these Forester Duffel Bags? If I hadn't just graduated (excuse my gloat!) I would wear one of these beauties to school.

Summer Fashion Fix

Bit of a fashion buzz here at Milo and Mitzy today. I think it because I am due to give birth to our second baby any day now, today being d day. I sit there in my spare time dreaming about all the beautiful garments I am going to buy as a reward to myself when I have lost this baby bump. I know baby weight doesnt just fall off quickly either so it is important that I look at good quality garments that will fit my body well.

First up I am absolutely crushing on the beautiful romantic vibe going on at Juliette Hogan. I could see myself wearing all of the above this summer. Gorgeous prints, light fabric - love it all.

Secondly, a store which I never really visit online as I tend to shop at Country Road more. I decided to pop over and check out what Trenery has on offer currently and boy am I glad I did. They have everything that I am after for summer and more! Again, light airy garments, bright whites and all of beautiful quality.

And lastly I am a massive fan of the accessories range that Nancy Bird have put out this summer. Love anything brown leather mixed with a bit of colour and print.

Where are you shopping this summer?

Masculine in the city

Check this swell masculine inner city apartment out. I would take this as my city abode. For sure. Loft living at its best! Love that exposed brick wall. Below are a few goodies from Perch Home to get you started on achieving this look.

Have a fab day. I am sitting around waiting for the arrival of baby number 2. No show at this stage!

Chalkd

I have always been and always will be a fan of chalk boards used in the home. However we don't own the home that we live in at the moment, hence the reason I cant just go ahead and paint an entire wall in chalk board paint. So when I discovered the good people at Chalkd I was wrapped.

Chalkd is a unique company dedicated to the design and creation of original chalkboards. I was lucky enough to receive a chalk board in the mail recently which has been hung proudly on my kitchen wall. Chalked uses locally sourced materials where possible and is committed to fulfilling their clients needs.

Do pop over and check them out. I know I will be back for more.
