Cowhide goodness from LET LIV

So I have made a wee pact to myself to feature more of the amazing products on the blog that we have available here in New Zealand. Natalie over at LET LIV really gets it right in terms of style.  Check out this for amazingness!

I am a bit of a sucker for cowhide. Even more so when it is mixed with fashion. Check out these new ridiculously cool cowhide pouches by Mooi from LET LIV. These leather pouches with their cowhide fronts and matching inner lining are finished off to a tee with that awesome tassel detail. I sure know what is top of wish list right now.

The Simple Life

The gorgeous healthy and positively glowing Sarah Wilson
So lately I have been reading the inspiring blog of Sarah Wilson, author of I quit sugar. Now hold on, I dont want to mislead you in anyway, I am not going to quit sugar. One day I might, but not anytime soon. My goal for this year though, is to work towards a more simplistic way of eating. Actually not too hard for me as we live in a farm, dont really do take aways a heck of a lot and grow plenty of our own veges, although things are looking a little sad in that department as we speak.

Sarah describes this way of life as the way our grandmothers lived, and I like that. To me this means knowing what is in our food and cutting out the processed junk. (I can still bake treats, happy face!) I am going to order Sarahs book however, for the inspiration and recipes. I would love to hear from anyone else who is aiming towards a simpler way of living and let me know if you follow any great blogs that encourage a healthy lifestyle. Email me on miloandmitzy@gmail.com I would love to join you on your journey.

Kara Rosenlund

I am not sure how she does it so well, but Kara Rosenlund just oozes style. When I grow up, I want to be just like her!!! Kara's impressive portfolio includes prop stylist and buyer, photographer, online retailer and of course owner of her unique traveling wares caravan shop. I often follow Kara's latest journey through Facebook and her website as I am sure a lot of people do, so I thought it was time that I shared some pics from her blog on here. Her blog is also a very entertaining read of the goings on in Kara's world.

I have been lusting after these Armadillo&Co Marigold rugs for a while now and cant you see why? They just carry a certain vibe with them and add interest to any room. They fit nicely with many different styles, beach, country, industrial and vintage. I am in love with the last image here. The stylists has got it all right. The bench seat with colourful scattered cushions, sitting atop of the Marigold rug, beside that rockin vintage bottle and floor lamp. Spot on! Here in New Zealand these are available through PaperRoom. In Australia and elsewhere check here at Armadillo&Co for stockists.

Blog Love- Solid Frog

Bit of a late post today but happy Monday to you all. I spent the day spring cleaning, baking and having a good ol general sort out. However, I did have a little time for a bit of a peep on the net. I came across a blog that caught my eye by the name of Solid Frog. Solid Frog is an inspiration blog about interior design, art, architecture and fashion. Writer, Mia Linnma also uses Solid Frog to showcase some of her own paintings.
Head over here to check out this beauty.

What are your favourite new blog discoveries?

Wooden beads

What floats my boat right now, wooden beads. Wearing them, looking at them, playing with them. Coolness in a ball right? I am going to make a huge wooden necklace next week I am thinking. About 4 strings at different lengths.I am also thinking that I may mix it up and chuck a couple of neon beads in there too.

My kinda home

Madly madly in love with this house. Totally my cuppa tea. This stunner is situated on the far north coast of New Zealand. I think here in New Zealand we have a bit of a thing for using black on the exterior of our homes, especially holiday homes. With the use of naturally woven rugs, industrial lights and tolix chairs, this home is a real winner in my books. I would show you more pics, only they are coming up a little fuzzy which has happened to me a bit lately, so you will just have to pop over here for more goodness and if anyone can help me out with the fuzzy thing, that'd be cool.

Industrial meets vintage meet chic

Gosh, cant believe it is nearly the weekend again. We have 2 weddings on this weekend. Fun but busy. I am going to start little Miss Frankie on solids today and see how we go. She has just started waking in the night when usually she sleeps from 7 through until 7. So we shall see. I also have heaps of new house projects that I want to sink my teeth into, including painting our red brick fire place a charcoal colour.

I thought I would start with a little home inspiration today from Let me be Inspired. Actually what caught my eye about this home in the first place was that ridiculously cool turquoise pendant light. I love it all. This home represents industrial meets vintage meets chic. Love the white was floors, adore those kitchen tiles and loving the pop of turquoise thrown throughout. What do you think?

Nomi the ballerina

What I am loving today: These images of Nomi, the daughter of Sofia from Mokkasin. Adorable little ballerina and love those pom poms. Such a simple and effective setting. Sofia takes the most amazing photographs of kids and kids rooms. Be sure to pop over and take a peep.
