Kids - you gotta love em

A couple of things for you today. First up, this ridiculously rad kids room by the talented Eleni of My Paradissi. I am loving the size. She is lucky to have that on side. I am alos loving the mix of wood with the black and white. Something that can well and truly grow with her wee one.  The slight hints of colour from the books and art work give off a fabulous playful vibe.

While we are on the subject of kids rooms, if you have followed me for a while now, you know that I stick with my base colours of black and white but when it comes to kids rooms, adding a pop of colour is a must have, even just a small touch. Hence the reason I am loving this kids range by Thread Design. A perfect eclectic mix for both boys and girls.

My own living room moodboard

I have been umming and ahhing over my living room for a while now. I am looking into purchasing a new rug along with some new art work. I had all the ideas in my head, I just couldn't quite get it all sorted. This is where I called in the expert. The lovely Annique of Gezellig Interiors put together a mood board for me and boy do I love it. Such a talent! So fantastic to see it all come together. I highly recommend Annique if you are unsure about a couple of things.

Mini Grandi Artist

I have always watched the work from my friend Sophie of Mini Grandi Artist with great interest. What I love the most is that her works are inspired by nature and the environment, such as the mountains, lakes and beaches that surround Sophies home.  These new pieces are right up my alley, each telling a story of their own,

Lighting with Freedom Furniture

Over the next several months, I will be looking to change the lighting over our breakfast bar. Lighting is the key to adding that wow factor to a room. Unfortunatel,y all of the lights in our house are fitted flat into the ceiling, hence the reason I am looking to change.

Luckily for me, Freedom Furniture has the latest lighting trends covered. With a range of features from copper fittings, through to matt finishes, Freedom allows you to define your particular style and display your signature look.

Monday mix up

Happy Monday to you all. Apologies for my absence of late. We have just spent a few days away with friends at the beach which was just what the doctor ordered, however I cant quite shale off a hangover like I used to. I wanted to kick off this week with a couple of things.

First up is the work of the very talented, very clever Nina Holst of Stylizimo. Hailing from Norway, Nina is a talented and well known blogger and artist whom I have long admired. She does monochrome to perfection and is extremely handy with her camera.

Next up are these gorgeous cushions from Dunedins latest home ware store Vull Design. Designed in Melbourne by Art Club Concept these cushions are edgy and on trend.

Lastly a summer essential. A bit of Juliette Hogan which I am mad about. Easy to wear, super stylee and a must have in every wardrobe.

Happy week.

With a keen passion for design she loves homeware, fashion, children's clothing and decor. Follow her as she picks out her favourite products to share with the Milo and Mitzy readers.

Throughout our house we have rimu flooring, no carpet anywhere. So now my second son is on the move I began rug searching for his room. I was so excited to discover Nodi Rugs. What I love about these New Zealand designed rugs is they are made to order. You know you are paying for quality when each rug is hand made on a loom in India using traditional weaving techniques. Using a combination of cotton, jute and banana silk yarns these rugs will instantly add textured luxury to any room.
