Fancy Friday

Happy Friday to you all. I am one child down today which is nice. One at the grandparents and one in bed. Heres hoping I use this time wisely to catch up on emails, blog posts and washing!

Photography by Brian W Ferry found via Dwell

First up today I wanted to show you this gorgeous modern mid century styled home nestled in North Carolina, in the US of A. While mid century is not usually my style, the use of wooden furniture mixed with the steel framed windows and doors, the walnut timber floors and the dark accents give this home a classical yet edgy feel.

Next up today, it brings me great pleasure to introduce you to Kingsway Crafted Jewellery. Simple, minimalist jewellery that is well made and subtle created by New Zealander Erica Lyons who now resides in NSW Australia. Easy to wear jewellery adding elegance to your everyday attire.

Lastly how fab are these images taken by Black Birds Gem Adams of the gorgeous Jamie Kay linen? Heaven in a bedroom if you ask me!

Happy weekend to you all.

Mix up Monday

Happy Monday to you. Pouring with rain here! Good day to be stuck inside. I wanted to kick off todays post with a look at some gorgeous new products from New Zealands Republic Home.

Let me introduce you to the contradictions Collection. A collection of high quality furniture with diversity meaning it fits in every room and in every house hold. Hand made in the Philippines, that arm chair and console has my name all over it.

And secondly I just wanted to show you a couple of kitchens with a difference that I am loving right now. More on the rustic side but that is right up my alley. If you can incorporate rustic/industrial with modern you have hit the nail on the head.

Dont forget to head to our instagram page to get yourself in the draw to win a gorgeous adults and kids beanie from New Zealands Pom Pom. Have a happy Monday.

Pom Pom - GIVEAWAY

Perfect timing for todays post as I listen to the rain come down and the wind blowing at the trees. You may have seen this gorgeous brand floating around on social media sites lately, but if you haven't, please do let me introduce you.

Today I am thrilled to share New Zealands Pom Pom with you, a name that you should take note of. Pom Pom was born out of a love for woollen beanies, yet designer Alice Harding found it a constant struggle to find that perfect one. Made from the finest quality New Zealand wool, finished off with a unique merino pom pom, these unisex woollen beanies come in both adults and kids sizes. Lids for the cool kids.

We are super stoked to have the opportunity to give away an adult kid combo as seen below. Pom Pom is kindly giving one lucky Milo and Mitzy reader the chance to take home the above, a Caro and a Pippi.

Head over to Milo and Mitzys instagram page to find out how to enter. Competition closes on Wednesday 17th June 8pm. Good Luck.

Mix up Mash up

Happy Sunday. I thought I would try and sit here, make the most of both kids being asleep and catch up on some blog posts. Always good intentions but it seems procrastination is still my middle name.

First up today is a home that belongs to talented Australian designer Frag Woodall and his wife Naomi. Influenced by traditional European summer houses, Frag has set the house up to make the most of the light whilst bringing a strong Scandinavian feel to the Sydney home.

Next up I am loving the new range of Turkish towels from Ottoloom. A thick looped towel that is perfect for the winter months, and made from 100 % Turkish cotton using traditional shuttle looms.

Lastly, I am absolutely head over heels mad about the work of Danish designer Louise Smaerup. I NEED these cushions in my life. Somebody please bring them to our shores. That is all.

Happy week. Do keep the emails coming with all of your gorgeous new goodies. Apologies if I don't get back to you straight away.

Olivia Scott of The Raw Kitchen

Welcome back after a long weekend. We sure had a fun one. Kid less for a bit of it which was amazing! I am stoked to have the talented Olivia Scott of The Raw Kitchen on the blog today with a look inside their newly established Ponsonby Road store and a glimpse behind the scenes of life at The Raw Kicthen.

Tell us a bit about The Raw Kitchen? How did The Raw Kitchen become?

The Raw Kitchen came about through my absolute love for raw creations! At the time there wasn't anything around for those who were eating raw, but had a sweet tooth. I always had an urge to start a business that allowed me to show my love for beautiful food, creative flavours and colours, using healthy vibrant whole foods. Creating healthy delicious food it what I love to do, and sharing that with people is a dream come true.

What are you cooking for guests in home at present?

Recently on a trip to Bali I learnt alot about including lots of therapeutic plants and herbs in cooking, for example putting aloevera in a raw vegan cheese or silver and crystals in vegan gelato! I am experimenting with crazy things to create delicious flavours - and trying not to scare the people eating it!

What are you reading?

I love reading inspiring, innovative cookbooks - Green Kitchen Stories and French CafĂ©.

What are you clicking on? (Blogs/websites)

Who or what inspires you?

People, beautiful design, Morocco, Bali and Greece.
Any future plans you would like to let us in on?

We are excited to open a new venue at City Works Depot in a few months!

Thank you so much for joining us Olivia. Be sure to pop by The Raw Kitchen next time you are in the area.
