Endemic World, French Country Collections and a home tour

Good morning to you all. Can you believe that it is only a month until Christmas? Crazy. My birthday comes before that. Last years birthday was pretty non eventful. The husband tried but I was crook at the time so this year I plan to really reap the benefits. (Yup, I am a real birtday person!)  My husband keeps asking me what I want but I actually havent come up with anything yet. Best I put my thinking cap on. Yesterday we drove to Wellington to Early Settler to pick up one of our new Sofas. You may recall that we recently got new Sofas from Early Settler. A few days in we knew that the slouch wasn’t going to work in our space.  We worked with the Early Settler Team to quickly return and replace the Slouch with two more beauties. We have gone for a mix of a classic vintage leather, The Stockholm and a timeless linen, The Rochelle. I look forward to showing you images over on instagram.

So because the look our living room will be quite different now, I have been keeping an eye out on artwork to compliment the space. Endemic World is always my first go to. The above prints are high up on my radar. The top print, Dried Flowers, is by Cloud Nine Creative designer Lee Sinclair, the middle, Winter Wanderers, is by an absolute favourite of mine, New Zealand photographer, Georgine Skinner and the last, Spotswood Community Hall is by another New Zealand photographer, Nic Staveley who travels the legnth of the county photographing interesting spaces and people.

Lately I have heard from and seen on various decor facebook pages, people doing up their kitchens. People are keen to makeover their kitchens on a budget and with a point of differece. If  I was at a stage where I was making over my kitchen I would certainly include a unique kitchen island, work bench or a console table of some sort. These two from French Country Collections fit the bill perfectly for me.

Lastly, this Australian beach home designed by Bower Architects caught my eye this morning on Pinterest.

Enjoy.
